Good for him. He's not a PC.The PCs aren't cursed, doomed, undead, or otherwise bound to the location simply by being there... they're visitors, not entities of the place.PCs in Ravenloft can teleport...

As far as I remember, the containment ended up working against all souls... including living who weren't clerics in good standing with their deities. So, I can't say that your idea holds there...

At least wording a wish to be a cleric for x amount of time so you can act as a cleric to get through the barrier, how about a rogue using their use magic device to fake being a cleric to get through?
